LPD gets the “Supreme” bust on Pizza Hut Burglaries

On Dec. 19, 2008, the Pizza Hut located by the 2100 block of Santa Ursula was burglarized.  Once inside the perpetrators burglarized a coin operated machine located inside the restaurant and an undetermined amount of money was stolen.

Then on Dec. 25, 2008, the Pizza Hut located by the 5300 block of McPherson was burglarized.  Once again, the perpetrators broke into a coin operated machine inside the restaurant.  The cases were assigned to the Laredo Police Dept. Crimes Against Property Division.  After following several leads, two suspects were questioned and eventually confessed to participating in both burglaries.  On Jan. 14, 2009, Judge Oscar Liendo issued warrant # 1152 and # 1153 for Magdiel Garcia D.O.B. 11-16-76.  Warrants # 1154 and # 1155 were also issued for Antonio Martinez D.O.B. 1-21-78.  Both subjects were charged with two counts of Burglary of Building SJF.  On Jan. 15, 2009, both subjects turned themselves in to the main police station.  The subjects were booked and then taken to the Webb Co. Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond each set by Judge Oscar Liendo.
