Leonel Fernandez Arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter

Leonel Fernandez was arrested today for Intoxication manslaughter of Moises Gomez on July 28, 2007.  The accident happened on Clark and McClelland where Fernandez was driving a black Buick and Gomez a Suzuki Motorcycle with no

helmet.  The Buick cut in front of the bicycle which upon impact ejected the motorcycle rider over his car.  The victim died on July 30, 2007 at  a local hospital.  Fernandez was not supposed to operate a vehicle due to medication regarding a medical condition.  He was arrested and held under a $75,000 bond set by Hector Liendo.  The LPD CRASH unit conducted the investigation.
