Taxi Cab Driver Robbed / Two Suspects Wanted by Police On Saturday, January 17, 2009, at approximately 3:20 pm, a taxi driver picked up two male subjects on the intersection of Salinas Ave. and Farragut St. The two unknown male subjects requested to be transported to a location in the Santa Rita subdivision. Upon entering the subdivision, the two unknown male subjects told the taxi driver to stop. One of the subjects then placed a knife against the taxi driver’s throat, while the other grabbed the taxi driver’s money from his pockets. The suspects exited the cab and ran westbound towards the riverbank. Police canvassed the area but did not find the suspects. If anyone has any information about the suspects or this robbery they are asked to call the Laredo Police Department at 795-2800.
