 City of Laredo contractor, Dynser, Inc. will be closing West San Francisco Avenue between Ortiz Street and Tacuba Street, starting on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at 8:00 a.m.  This work is expected to last approximately three days.  Additional street closures will be announced at a later time.
 The contractor will be constructing a sanitary sewer main line, manholes, and other miscellaneous work.
Motorists are urged to find alternate routes, but if traveling in the area, to please drive with extreme caution and observe and obey all traffic control and detour …

Former satellite employee using Existing Customer’s Account for Unauthorized Activations Arrest Made

 On February 10, 2010 a person filed a police report in relation to some fraud occurring on his DirecTV satellite account.  According to the complaint he explains that while trying to upgrade his DirecTV services, he discovered that an unknown person had called in and pretended to be him (the actual client).  By doing this the unknown person was able to activate two access cards (boxes) and was getting free service at the legitimate customer’s expense.  The complainant further explained that he was able to obtain the phone number of …
