Laredo, Texas has a proud history – and that history includes the legacy of Laredo’s Jewish community. Next week, that legacy will be shared anew, thanks to a new documentary film created by the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute of Southern Jewish Life (ISJL).
The film will premiere in the Student Center at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 6 p.m.

(Laredo, Tx)-On Friday, May 18, Texas A&M International University employees will spend part of the afternoon and part of the morning at the University’s annual TAMIU Enrichment Day, starting at 11:30 a.m. and concluding at 5 p.m.
While University offices will remain open, staff and services will be greatly reduced.

Texas A&M International University will begin its summer work schedule beginning Thursday, May 31, 2012 –Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012.
The University summer schedule is 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. – noon on Fridays.
The Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library is open Monday-Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Fridays, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday, noon – 8 p.m.

(Laredo, Tx)_Laredo’s rainfall this week and expected rain forecast for this weekend has forced Texas A&M International University to move its traditional outdoor Spring Commencement Exercise indoors Friday and Saturday, May 11 and 12.

The Beaumont Foundation of America has announced the establishment of a $100,00scholarship endowment at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) that honors Carlos and Judith Zaffirini and is dedicated to providing scholarship assistance to first-generation TAMIU students.
The announcement was made Tuesday, 19 April, 2012 at TAMIU’s Helen Richter Watson Gallery in the Sue and Radcliffe Killam Library.

Texas A&M International University’s Lamar Bruni Vergara Planetarium will celebrate its 7th Anniversary with a Family Movie Day and Dinosaur Exhibit Saturday, April 14 from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
The event is open to the community and will feature “Jurassic Park” from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Tickets are $3 per movie.
