July 21, 2010- LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced at a press conference Wednesday that former team captain Serge Dube has re-signed with the team for the 2010-11 campaign, his eighth full season with the franchise.
The announcement was made to the media and a large number of fans at the Laredo Federal Credit Union’s McPherson Branch.

Salvador Paniagua, recently acquired from the Rio Grande Valley White Wings is this week’s Laredo Broncos Player of the Week for Week 7th (July 11-17th). Sponsored by Olive Garden.
In his first week with the Broncos, Paniagua hit an amazing .481 with 5 homers, 9 runs and 10 Runs Batted In to win the Player of the Week honors. 
Paniagua is the Laredo Broncos starting catcher. He is number 30.

The United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League (PDL) final master roster deadline came and went on Tuesday, July 20th and the Laredo Heat were able to secure a player transfer from the IMG Bradenton Academics late last week.  Trevor Spangenberg, a 6’3” 19 year old sophomore goalkeeper at NCAA Division I Missouri State University located in Springfield, Missouri agreed to finish our his 2010 PDL season in Laredo. Spangenberg is a graduate of Boone Grove High School is Valparaiso, Indiana.

Jeff Jamnik pitches the Broncos to their fourth victory in a row

The Broncos plated six runs in the bottom of the seventh and rewarded RHP Jeff Jamnik for his phenomenal pitching effort with the 13-2 victory.  The Broncos sent RHP Jeff Jamnik (2-1) to the mound against the Road Runners starter RHP Mike Reeves (4-4)
Jamnik began the game with a bang, striking out the side in the top of the first and sending the Broncos into the dugout on a high note for their first at bats.

(July 17th, LAREDO, TX)-The Broncos gave up four runs in the first inning, only to score six unanswered runs and defeat the Road Runners 6-4 in game one of the series. Game one of the four game series between the Edinburg Road Runners (31-15) and the Laredo Broncos (23-27) at Veterans Field featured RHP Robert Roth (1-1) for the Broncos and RHP Tim Haines (4-4) took the hill for the Road Runners.

RHP Matt Gibbs pitches seven innings of three hit ball and the Broncos win the finale against the Thunder 10-6

( LAREDO, TX) -RHP Matt Gibbs goes seven plus innings allowing only three hits and a run, while the Broncos (22-27) offense bangs out sixteen hits and ten runs in support. The Broncos defeated the Coastal Bend Thunder (19-29) in the series finale by a score of 10-6.
RHP Matt Gibbs (3-1) made his second start of the season against the Thunder in the series finale. Coastal Bend sent RHP Carlos Rangel (4-4) to the mound against the Broncos.

In addition, on Monday’s July 19th game, there will be Free Admission to all city of Laredo residents. 
This hopefully helps our emergency personnel and Laredo residents take their minds off the affects of the flood.

July 15th, LAREDO, TX-The Broncos (21-27) notched a come from behind victory when Salvador Paniagua hit his third home run as a Bronco and twelfth of the year in the bottom of the eighth to push the Broncos to the 11-8 victory over the Thunder (19-28).
