(Laredo, Tx)-More than 200 local and area middle and high school students will have the opportunity to explore careers in science at the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) Day Friday, Jan. 27 from 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the TAMIU Lamar Bruni Science Center and Planetarium.

LAREDO, Tx – On Friday, January 26, 2012 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., Cedar will be closed between Cedar at Chihuahua and Cedar at Rosario in order to connect water lines.

(Laredo, Tx)- More than eight-hundred thousand dollars in checks will be presented by Webb County to area school districts at ceremonies to be held in the Webb County Court House Thursday, January 26 at 9:30 a.m.
LISD, UISD and the Webb Consolidated School District will be presented with checks that are part of the Permanent School Land Fund, an arrangement in which the County acts as a land trustee for the school districts.

LAREDO, Tx– Work is currently being down that will last till February 15, 2012, Anderson Columbia, Inc. demolition work continues as part of continued work of the US 83 Guadalupe-Chihuahua Overpass Project. Demolition work will take place at the intersection of Guadalupe and Monterrey southeast corner, and requiring lane closures on each street.

(Laredo, Tx)-Webb County Commissioner, Precinct 2, Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina and 10 Female members of her Community Involvement Team will be participating in a Women Build Event for Habitat for Humanity on Friday, January 20, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tierra Prometida located on Hwy 359 behind the Self Help Center.
