Business Members of the Community Join Mariscos El Pescador in Supply Drive for Soldiers

(Laredo, Tx)-Mariscos El Pescador alongside with LaredoBuzz.Com, Louis H. Bruni Candidate for Webb County Commissioner Pct.1, Constable Rick Rodriguez Pct.2 and the newly formed Arena Football Team the Laredo Rattlesnakes made an announcement yesterday at their location in South Laredo to kick off a month long event to benefit soldiers in Afghanistan. Chad Dittman owner of the Rattlesnakes welcomed members of the Cigarroa High School and L.B.J. High School R.O.T.C. who were invited guests to the announcement. Dittman then spoke about details about the fundraiser to media in attendance before introducing Constable Rick Rodriguez and former Webb County Judge Louis H. Bruni who highlighted the morning with a key address to the students about the importance of supporting the troops in Afghanistan.

El Pescador is asking the public to stop by any of their three locations 3919 San Dario, 207 Shiloh, or 3620 S. Zapata Hwy. to drop off non-perishable items or hygeine products that will be sent to troops in Afghanistan. Receiving the supplies in Afghanistan will be Major Luis Tinajero who has been deployed overseas for over seven months. Luis Tinajero is also a Lieutenant with the Laredo Police Department.

Children who visit the restaurant with their parents will also have an apportunity to participate by coloring a special kids menu designed with military images. Parents can then make a one dollar donation so that the colored sheet can be displayed in front of the restaurant. The colored images will be included in the packages sent to the soldiers. The drive started yesterday and will be in place at all three of their locations for the next 30 days ending on November 23, 2012.
