Suspects arrested on Graffiti charges

By Officer Abraham Diaz

On Wednesday, September 24, 2008, at approximately 10:45 AM, Investigators from the
J.E.T. Gang Unit arrested a total of three male suspects on unrelated Graffiti charges.

These two male suspects committed Graffiti at two city parks.

Arrested and charged with Graffiti C/A were:

Eduardo Calderon Age: 17
Jesus Huerta Age: 18

Suspect Calderon committed Graffiti at Father Mcnaboe park.

Suspect Huerta committed Graffiti at the Seven Flags Park.

Both suspects were transported to Webb County Jail, in lieu of a $5,000.00 dollar bond set by J.P. O. Martinez, for each suspect.

Also detained was a 16 year old minor who committed graffiti at both parks. He was remanded to the custody of the Webb County Juvenile Detention Center.

This arrest was a result of a collaborative effort between the Laredo Police Department’s Park Police and the J.E.T. Gang Unit.

This arrest also serves as a reminder that the City of Laredo Police Department is actively pursing those who commit these crimes in our parks.
