McAllen, Texas-Keep McAllen Beautiful invites McAllen residents to participate in the annual Holiday Home Lights Contest. This is a chance to show off that jolly Christmas spirit and to-notch decorating skills by lighting up your home!
Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, December 20, and judging will be held Thursday, December 21.
Register your McAllen home at www.keepmcallenbeautiful.org or call the Keep McAllen Beautiful office at (956) 681-4562. A panel of judges will evaluate homes on most creativity, best decorations made from recyclables, and most number of lights against other competitors. Winners receive cash prizes at the Keep McAllen Beautiful Advisory Board meeting on Wednesday, January 3.
Don’t forget to leave the lights on, and if in a gated community, please provide entry access to judges. Fantastic prizes this year include: one year of general pest control service sponsored by BUGKiL (a $460 value), as well as $100 cash prizes in three categories for best neighborhood block, best individual home and best local business.
