Centenoville is Officially Open for Business

(Laredo, Texas)-Students and staff at Centeno Elementary hosted their annual Minitropolis Event. The Minitropolis Program is sponsored by Commerce Bank. President and CEO for Commerce Bank Ignacio Urabazzo Jr. was on hand to assist with the event. Miguel Conchas, President and CEO of Laredo Chamber of Commerce along with Councilman Jesse Gonzalez were on hand to assist with administering the yearly proclamation.
The Minitropolis Event is a program in which educators use state mandated skills and seamlessly intertwine them in teaching students about the ins and outs of running a business. Students who participate in the program learn about the daily operations and practices of businesses and organizations like Commerce Bank, Border Patrol, Radio, and the Police Department.
