Alexander HS Band Performs at Texas Music Educator Association – Region 14 Clinic and Concert

(Laredo, Texas)-Congratulations to members of the Alexander High School Mighty Bulldog Band on their recent performance at the Texas Music Educator’s Association’s Region 14 Clinic and Concert.
Select members auditioned for a panel of judges in Alice, Texas on December 2, 2017 and earned chairs in one of the Region 14 performance ensembles.
Alexander High School had 47 students earn a chair within an ensemble, which allowed them to venture to Corpus Christi, Texas on December 8th, 9th, and 10th where they rehearsed for 2 days to prepare their concert performance. They were joined by musicians spanning from Laredo to Victoria to Corpus Christi who also performed alongside them.
Alexander HS was also joined by 1 member of the Clark Middle School Band, Luis Velasco, who earned 3rd chair overall within the Clarinet section as an 8th grader. A huge congratulations to him and his directors on this tremendous achievement.
Directors for the Alexander High School Band are Mr. Joshua A. Martinez, Mr. Ricardo Fuentes, Ms. Diana Gonzalez, and Mr. Jacob Thompson. Directors for Clark Middle School are Mr. Gilbert Cuellar and Mrs. Michelle U. Espinoza.
