USMS Students reach Out to Help Children In Our Community

(Laredo, Texas)-During the month of October, United South Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society (NJHS), collected and donated 100 teddy bears to the 6th annual Share- a- Bear drive. The effort is coordinated by the Webb County Sheriff Department.
Law enforcement officials will distribute the bears to children who have “This teddy bear drive really brought our students together to contribute to our community, and taught them that their actions will bring comfort to children at difficult times”said NJHS sponsor Karina Rodriguez. Additional NJHS sponsors include Rosita Coronado, Lupita Hernandez , Javier Ramirez, and Carlos Ortiz.
