(Laredo, Texas)-At Trautmann Elementary they’re taking getting started on the right foot literally with a new program aimed at making the start of the school day a little brighter. Trautmann faculty and staff launched its very first “High Five Friday.” The program is the latest campus initiative geared towards promoting student attendance and creative a positive, fun learning environment for all students.
The program will feature different guests from the community every Friday who will greet students with a “high five” as they arrive on campus. The first featured guests invited to kick off the program were none other than United ISD’s very own Police Department. Safety Sam also made a debut much to the surprise of all the children. It was definitely a great way to get the school day started!
