Disney’s Magic of Storytelling at Perez Elementary School

Students at Perez Elementary along with KGNS News Anchor Richard Noriega kicked off Disney’s Magic of Storytelling Event this morning in a fun filled read event in the campus Library. Campus Librarian Perla Cantu hosted a Disney Cars themed reading event that was sure to make even Walt Disney proud.
The students participated in this event as part of a joint collaboration between United ISD and KGNS-ABC Laredo. In addition to participating in this event, KGNS-ABC Laredo also donated 500 books to four campus libraries throughout the District. Disney’s The Magic of Storytelling Campaign aims to inspire imagination, cultivate a lifelong love of reading in kids, and bring books to undeserved communities across the country. “We are very grateful that have been gifted this donation of books to add to our collection. The children of Perez Elementary are sure to enjoy them for years to come,” stated campus Librarian Perla Cantu.
