Roosevelt Elementary Honor Society Delivers Thanksgiving Joy to 12 Families

(Laredo, Texas)-National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS), students at Roosevelt elementary school held a Thanksgiving meal fundraiser from Nov. 1 -11, 2016. The drive, which enjoyed the full support of the faculty, staff, and fellow students,was the initial step taken to provide 12 Roosevelt elementary families with the necessary supplies for a proper Thanksgiving meal. Donations of $1.00 were collected during the drive, and donor names were written on turkey certificates, which were then prominently displayed throughout the campus. After reaching their financial goal, Honor Society members decorated a dozen tote bags, and filled each with assorted goodies, paper products, and a voucher for a turkey. Special thanks to the NEHS students for their effort to assist families during this season of giving.
