Academy Sports and Outdoors Helps United ISD Students Dress for Success

(Laredo, Texas)-Academy Sports and Outdoors on San Bernardo Avenue, once again stepped up to help prepare United ISD students for the 2016-2017 school year.
After a brief press conference at the store, 25 students from Cuellar elementary school were given complimentary vouchers for the purchase of school uniforms. Store personnel, district administrators and employees helped the students with their purchases.
Once the shopping was done, students were treated to a pizza buffet donated by Cici’s Pizza. United ISD Board Vice- President Juan Roberto Ramirez thanked the Academy store and Cici’s Pizza for their steady support. “It is so important for students to be properly attired for school,and we appreciate their generous contributions to our students” said Ramirez. The first day of class for all United ISD schools is Monday, August 22.
