Alexander Senior Receives Congressional and Academic Recognitions

(Laredo, Texas)-Daniel Figueroa, who is a senior in the J.B. Alexander H.S. Magnet, was recently honored by Congressman Henry Cuellar for13 consecutive years of perfect attendance and academic excellence. Mr. Figueroa, a drum major for the Alexander Bulldog Band, also received the John Philip Sousa Award at this years’ senior concert. The award recognizes superior musicianship, dependability, loyalty, and cooperation. He was nominated for the award by his band director Mr. Jose Valenzuela.
