Alexander High School Senior Signs Soccer Scholarship with TAMIU

(Laredo, Texas)-Congratulations to Alexander High School (AHS), senior Mariana “Manas” Avina, who signed a soccer scholarship with Texas A&M International University. Manas has been a soccer star since the age of five and is the first local athlete to be awarded a full soccer scholarship to continue playing locally. Avina played soccer with the Liberty Soccer Club under her lifetime coach Efrain Galindo. Avina is a household name to the world of Alexander Bulldogs Sports, “Manas” is the youngest of three children, her two older brothers Wayo and Andres, also played for the blue and gold Alexander Bulldogs.
