Laredo, TX – This Easter Sunday many Webb County Residents will be gathering with family and friends, some traveling out of town. Please remember to be safe and extra cautious. Below are some safety tips from Sheriff Martin Cuellar and the W.C.S.O.:
Exercise extreme caution when driving as we will be seeing more motorists on the roadway. Keep a safe driving distance, obey all traffic laws and maintain a first aid kit in your vehicle.
Do not drink and drive. Plan for a designated driver.
At get-togethers, when reversing your vehicle, make sure you check your surroundings before and as you reverse, as small children can be in the area.
Watch out for snakes. Snake season is upon us.
If discharging a firearm at a ranch, it is crucial that you make sure no one is in the area where you are discharging. Also, make sure you secure your weapon(s) and keep out of reach of children.
