LAREDO, TEXAS – Mexican superstar Pepe Aguilar performed an incredible event tonight at the Laredo Energy Arena for Valentine’s Day.
“This concert had a great turnout, and Pepe Aguilar put on an astonishing show,” said Xavier Villalon, General Manager of the SMG – Managed Laredo Energy Arena. “Our guests were entertained, and couples came dressed in red, white and pink to celebrate their Valentine’s Day with Pepe at the arena.”
Fans shouted as the 6’5” Charro de Mexico opened his remarkable concert with the song “El Zacatecano.” He performed his biggest hits including traditional ranchera, mariachi and pop genres. His mariachi performed alongside with him.
Aguilar shared the stage with his children. Angela, his 12 year old daughter, sang “Aires del Mayab” and his classic hit “Volver Volver,” and his son Leonardo,7, performed “El Barzón” and “Te Iría Mejor Sin Mí.”
The crowd was engaged by Aguilar’s stage presence and laughed when he said he is a Zacatejas and all his exes are from Texas. He dedicated the song “Chaparrita De Mi Vida” to all the petite women in the arena.
He thanked his collaborators for his new single “Maria” and concluded his show with encore performances of “Cruz De Olvido,” “4 Mesas,” and “Son Las 2 De La Mañana.”
