UISD Community Role Models for November 2015

(Laredo, Texas)-The Webb County Sheriff’s Office and the Elysian Social Club honored this month’s Community Role Model students for November 2015 during a ceremony at the Webb County Courthouse. The event recognized students from Laredo’s public and private high schools.
Four UISD students were among the honorees to receive the recognition, which is based on extra-curricular activities and volunteer work above and beyond the classroom setting. In addition, Leticia R. Garza from United High School was the recipient of this month’s $500.00 scholarship from the Webb County Sheriff’s Department. Additional sponsors of the Community Role Model Awards include KGNS-TV, ABC network affiliate NGNS (ABC), and Telemundo Laredo.
