Mickey’s Birthday Kicked Off with Disney on Ice Presents Treasure Trove at the LEA

LAREDO, Texas – Mickey Mouse’s birthday kicked off with the opening of Disney on Ice Presents Treasure Trove presented by Stonyfield YoKids Organic Yogurt at the Laredo Energy Arena on Wed., Nov. 18th – Nov. 22nd.
“November 18th marked Mickey’s birthday and what better way to celebrate the mouse who started it all than by watching an outstanding performance from professional ice skaters who portray timeless characters of Disney,” said Xavier Villalon, General Manager of the SMG- Managed Laredo Energy Arena.
Disney on Ice Presents Treasure Trove took the audience through the magical world of Disney with favorite characters like Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Aladdin and the Genie. Classic Disney princesses also made an appearance such as Snow White and Rapunzel.
This mystical journey grabbed the audience from under the sea into a whole new world of wonderful treasures and showcased magnificent acrobatic stunts and lifts in the form of figure skating.
Children dressed up as their favorite Disney character throughout the week’s performances and sang along to their favorite Disney beat.
“It was truly a spectacular run which the young and the young at heart enjoyed,” Villalon said.
