Man arrested for Sexual Abuse of a Child

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – Webb County Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested a local man for his reported sexual abuse of a child.
The suspect, Larry Saenz, 38, from the 100 block of Ashton Loop, was arrested on Thursday. The child told his fatherthat Saenz, a known-relative, had been sexually abusing him for 7 years. The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division gathered enough information to issue an arrest warrant for the suspect.
Saenz now faces charges for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, Felony 1. He remains at the Webb County Jail on a $175,000 bond.
“Parents please speak to your children and encourage them to always communicate with you,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar. “It’s important to pick up on signs indicating they could be a victim of abuse.”
