Laredo Heat Announce Tryout Dates for 2015 Season

Invitational Sessions Set for Early March
Laredo, TX: The 2014 Premier Development League (PDL) Mid-South Runner-Up Laredo Heat Soccer Club announced their Invitational Tryouts Dates today for their upcoming 11th Season in the United Soccer Leagues.
The tryout sessions will be held at the Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex in Laredo, TX and will take place on Saturday, March 7th and Sunday, March 8, 2015.
The tryouts are open to interested players 17 years of age or older (born on or after January 1, 1998). All participants under the age of 18 at the time of the tryout will be required to have a parent or guardian present at the tryout in order to participate.
There will not be any registration fee required in order to participate in the tryout sessions; however, all players must bring their own soccer equipment, including shoes (cleats, turf, jogging, etc…), shin guards, shorts/training pants and a white/light colored top. Space will be limited and registering early is recommended.
The Laredo Heat will open up their 2015 in May (season schedule will be announced in the coming days) and will also participate in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Tournament, also scheduled to start in May, game date and site will be determined at a later date by U.S. Soccer.
“This year, we will not have an open tryout for local players like previous years, where we took only the top players from the one session with them and asked them to return to compete with the invited players, this year, all the local players will be given the opportunity to compete head to head starting day one”, said Heat GM J.J. Vela.
2015 Heat Invitational Tryout (local, out of town and college players invited)
Dates: Saturday, March 7th (two sessions, morning and afternoon) and Sunday, March 8, 2015 (morning)
Start Time will be at 9:00 AM CST (player check-in starts at 8:30 AM CST) on Saturday, March 7th.
Location: Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex in Laredo, TX
Interested players must send player resume prior to registration to Heat General Manager J.J. Vela at jjvela@laredoheatsc.com . All player resumes must be e-mailed in no later than Friday, February 27, 2015. Accepted players will be e-mailed a registration form that will need to be completed and submitted prior to their first tryout session.
