Finley Students and Staff Celebrate Local Heroes

(Laredo, Tx)-On September 11, 2014, Finley Elementary school combined their PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention System)/Leadership rally with a Patriots Day salute to the heroes of 9-11. Principal Joe Garza led students, teachers and staff in a recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge before reviewing the rules of conduct for students at Finley elementary school.
UISD Trustee Juan Roberto Ramirez partook of the event with his introduction of a visiting group of local law enforcement and emergency services personnel. Ramirez, who is a Veteran, asked students to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice on 9-11. He also asked students to thank our local law enforcement community for the excellent job they do in protecting our country, community, and lives. “Whenever you can, thank say thank you to our local heroes”, said Ramirez.
