Laredo, TX (Webb County) – The Webb County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Unit acting on a tip to the Crime Stoppers Hotline, led them to the arrests of two men in possession of narcotics.

The anonymous tip notified authorities that an apartment located in the 200 block of Obsidian Boulevard was allegedly being used to store drugs. When deputies arrived, they found Vicente Hernandez and Jonathan Sifuentes, both 19, outside of the home.

Authorities then received consent to search Hernandez’s home where a total of 7 pounds of marijuana were found in his possession.

Upon further investigation, deputies found a baggie containing several pills of Clonazepam in Sifuentes’ possession. The narcotics have an estimated street value of $9,806.

Hernandez faces a felony charge for possession of marijuana. Sifuentes was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.

The two suspects were taken to the Webb County jail and released on bond Tuesday morning.
