Derek Esparza Signs with Cisco College

(Laredo, Tx)-Derek Esparza, a senior at United High School (U.H.S.), recently signed a Letter of Intent to play football at Cisco College in Cisco, Texas. Derek has played football at United High School for the past four years, during which he has earned multiple accolades including Quarterback All-District First Team and All-City M.V.P. In addition, Derek was named Dave Campbell’s Texas Player of The Week U.H.S. football Coach David Sanchez described Derek as an ambitious and bright young man who excels in athletics and academics.
“I remember a few years ago when Derek started as a Varsity level receiver. He’s come a long way and Cisco College is about to gain a great player”, said Sanchez. Derek will attend Cisco College beginning this fall where he will study Criminal Justice and assume the role of starting quarterback for the his new team. “I would like to thank my parents, coaches and teammates for their support. I could not have done it without them” said Esparza.
