Police Respon to Shooting on Logan Ave.

(Laredo, Tx)-On Sunday, July 28th police received a call about a shooting on Logan Avenue. Officers responded and found that Denise Alegria, had suffered a gunshot wound to her lower back. The information provided was that she and her common-law spouse had gotten into an argument earlier in the day. Denise had gone to her father’s house and told her father, identified as Jose Alegria, 44, about the argument which upset him.
Denise and her spouse later made up, and she returned bac khome. The father then arrived to their home where an argument escalated and Alegria allegedly brandished a revolver threatening the daughter’s common law husband. During the altercation, Denise wound up being shot. Jose Alegria then fled the scene. Witnesses were taken to the police station for statements, and the scene was processed. Denise Alegria was taken to Laredo Medical Center and was listed in serious but stable condition.
