Michelle Gonzalez United High School Senior Signs Cross Country and Track Scholarship for Wayland University

(Laredo, Tx)-Best wishes to United High School (U.H.S.) senior Michelle Gonzalez, who signed a Cross Country and Track Scholarship for Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas. Gonzalez has attended U.H.S. for the past two years and joined the track team during the 2012-2013 school year where she quickly proved to be a fast and skillful competitor. Coach Eduardo Mendoza remarked on how quickly Gonzalez developed her talent. “Michelle is a hard worker and never gives up. She’s a great example of what any student can do when they put their mind to it”, said Mendoza.
Gonzalez is very humbled and says she feels lucky to have the opportunity to play for Wayland Baptist University. “I feel extremely blessed and excited about what is happening and I am thankful to my coaches, teammates and teachers who have always encouraged me to do my best”, said Gonzalez, who plans to study Fitness Management and Administration.
