Commissioner Canales To Distribute Fans

Veterans in Laredo will be a little bit cooler this summer as Webb County Commissioner Jaime Canales will be presenting over fifty fans to Laredo veterans in need.
The fans are a result of the “Keeping Our Veterans Cool” fundraiser held by Canales in recent weeks.
The box fans will be presented to “Gigi” Ramos, Director of Volunteers Servicing the Need, who will be distributing the fans. The non-profit organization, which started operations in July of 2009, helps area veterans and surviving spouses.
The presentation of the fans will take place on Wednesday, May 30 at 10 a.m. in the office of Commissioner Jaime Canales located located on the first floor of the Webb County Courthouse at 1000 Houston Street.
