A poll has been set up here at LaredoBuzz.Com with some of the Webb County Elections races that will be held in May. Please take a minute to cast your vote in your respective races. All votes are anonymous and you can vote only once per race. Remember that two of the listed races are county wide races, they are the race for Webb County Attorney and the race for 341st District Judge. More polls will be added within the next two days. You can find the poll underneath the video feed to the right hand side of the site.
I find most of these mock polls to be similar to what were experiencing on the streets … Except for the response in Precinctm1. Montemayor texted the world that he had a poll showing him ahead with 72%. Now King Louie is in the lead? Any bets who’s sponsoring the cowardly anti Sciarraffa ad on this blog? It’s Louie, even though LaredoBuzz hasn’t disclosed who paid for that ad. I figure this is still Big Franks race to lose. Montemayor can win, but only because King Louie is the most unelectable man in county history.
Galo wins without a runoff. I’m sure there’s a poll out there that supports that.
Palomo crushes Fernando Sanchez and his patroness? They ruined their campaigns when they triedmtomsue her off of the ballot. Sanchez is dead in the water.
County attorney? I’m sure someone has a poll that supports cavazos’s horrible support in the legal community. She’s let everyone down and will lost badly to a rank amateur.
Constable races? Who cares? That just an arrest waiting to happen.
Now EVERYBODY HAS numbers they can use to squeeze dollars out of the interested parties of Webb county.

Cowardly anti-sciaraffa ad? It speaks the truth, Frank is nothing but trash I agree with that ad look at his staff they were all hired because of political purposes the most recent example Mayor Raul Reyes of El Cenizo. You might recall that that homo mayor was once Sciaraffa’s opponent. He was hired for votes that we the taxpayers have to pony up for just as in the case of Sciaraffa’s sexual perversions. It would have been cheaper for us to pay a twenty dollar whore in boystown to blow on Frank’s tiny pipi than it is to pay for a lawsuit.
As for Montemayor he doesnt even live in Pct.1 and he himself has legal problems the man kept much needed child support from his kids for years just has his former in-laws the Liendo’s and they will gladly tell you what a sack of shit he is if he was a great candidate as he touts himself to be the Liendos would be endorsing him.

Why has Cortez cheated on his campaign finance report? He swore he wouldn’t raise or SPEND spend more than 500 dollars for the whole campaign. So he did t have to make reports. . He spent and raised more than that last week alone. What is he hiding? Oh yeah, Danny Lopez didn’t file a report period! Maybe he just doesn’t know he’s supposed to play by any rules. Has anyone seen or read the decision from the Texas Supreme Court on the Sanchez/Palomo issue? Could it be that the Texas Supreme Court has not made a decision? Could it be that Ms. Acting Democratic Chair Person over stated the Supreme Court on whether Ms. Palomo could be placed on the ballot and the Supreme Court said yes, but only to the ballot and not on the Supreme Court’s decision. What would happen if the Supreme Court comes back with decision that Ms. Palomo is not eligible? Is Ms. Palomo a bigger scam that anyone of us can see? All I’m saying is “show me the Texas Supreme Court’s decision”.

Like the saying goes “All that glitters in not gold” elections are not about pretty faces its about who is more qualified to handle the position. To be a fair and impartial judge you must be experienced in all sorts of cases and you must be up to date with current changes in the legal system. Being judge is not the same as being the head of a probation office where you sat behind a desk and worked a nine to five job waiting to clock out. Those who have yet to be swayed by the beauty queen call and ask her about her experience, ask what major trials she has been involved with, ask when her last trial as an attorney took place, ask if she has notes or files on research she did on any current type of legal preceding, ask if she really truly feels that she can represent not only the legal system but the community in such an important position.

The Supreme Court disposed of the case. Here’s the link http://www.supreme.courts.state.tx.us/opinions/printcase.asp?FilingID=33374. Sans just continues to try to win this thing in the court and not at the ballot box. He is until June to file a motion for a re-hearing. So he’s the fat lady and he hasn’t sung yet. But the court has already ruled and Sanchez continues to try and win it without facing Palomo fair and square.

Well politics (ticks) in Webb County have always been an exciting thing to watch. A reality show should be created. Al Roker , come back to Laredo. Border Town is nothing compared to politicos. I can just imagine the ratings off the roof. Just one story would make the show ratings off the chart. Frank Sciaraffa Webb County Commissioner Pct.1.
1. Spent all his left over campaign money from the previous election buying expensive dogs, taking trips and expensive dates. He thought he was clever but the checks at the bank prove his guilt.Yes, he did try to cover his tracks by writing the checks to different people and then have these people return the money to him. Sorry Frank it didn’t work. That’s why you should keep your promises, people will get upset and start talking about you illegal activities.

Your TCLEOSE Peace Officer License that you obtained, well guess what, they spilled the beans on that also; Why would you allow someone else to take your classes online for you? did you not have the time because you were to busy with Commissioners Court (not) your never at the office and court usually convenes twice a month. No you were just lazy and wanted your license the easy way. Shame Shame on you Commissioner! The Cat is out of the hat. TCLEOSE has the complaint already. Now your a reserve deputy with Sheriff Martin Cuellar of which you lied to to deputize you. Sheriff Cuellar is an honest honorable Lawman why would you lie to him. I am sure that because of your position of trust as a Commissioner he believed you were a man of integrity, I guess not! Again, you didn’t keep your promise to give a good paying job to the person that completed the classes online for you, you know who he is and so does the State. Wow, let me stop because I could go on and on and on.
3. Sara Jo A. Davila alleged incident and I used the word alleged because you have not had your date in court. Speaking of court, Who is paying for the Attorney, Hmmm, us the taxpayers of Webb County. Mrs. Cavazos lying by Omission is still a lie. Frank was sued in his individual capacity thus he should have hired his own attorney, not the county. Oops, you forgot to mention that at Commissioners court and to the media. ” It could be a conflict of interests if we represented Commissioner Sciarrafa” true but, he was sued in his individual capacity. Too late we will foot the bill and everything that comes along with it. That $70,000 deductible is a lot of money. Then the attorneys fees, OMG! The county could have done a lot better things with that money.
4. Question, for the legal eagles. Was Commissioner Sciaraffa able to second the motion and then vote to hire an attorney to represent him. Sounds wrong, but lets wait for answer on that one. Th lawsuit was against the county and Frank in his individual capacity and he got to vote. Ok, legal eagles. What is the answer.
5. Rumors of more women?
6. Other previously lawsuits filed by Former County Judge Bruni for the money he lend you and you didn’t want to pay back. Also, another lawsuit filed by the other company.

The Laredo police department has confirmed that officer Abraham Diaz is no longer “El Protector”.
The Laredo police chief is now talking about the memo we obtained yesterday… That outlines why officer Abraham Diaz was suspended for 10 days.

Officer Abraham Diaz has been with the Laredo police department for 19 years spending 12 as “El Protector”
A position meant to bring traffic safety awareness to the community.
“In situations like these is very difficult. Here is an officer who is passionate about what he does.”
But that didn’t stop the Laredo police department from placing him on a 10-day suspension.
After allegedly being found asleep behind the wheel and under the influence and lying about working that day.
” I know I’m certainly going to be question about whether I do the right thing or the wrong thing.”
In a memo we obtained that police chief Carlos Maldonado wrote to officer Diaz…it goes into great detail of what happened on October second.
We spoke to Diaz’ attorney over the phone and he says the chief has no substantial evidence to suspend him.
” I’m relegated to evaluate the information as it’s presented to me and make the best decision possible and that is keeping in mind public trust.”
The memo mentions that officer Diaz was found in his vehicle asleep and incoherent in a convenience store parking lot.
According to the memo an employee waved to an officer and alerted him of the situation.
But no evidence to prove he had been drinking was taken at the scene
And officer Diaz was not arrested.
“It depends on the situation and what the people at the scene based on their judgment take whatever action is appropriate.”
Diaz attorney released a statement to Pro 8 News that says quote Diaz has been treated unfair in this matter and he deserves the benefit of the doubt.”
According to the Laredo police department its yet to be determined if anybody will take over the position of “El Protector”.
Officer Abraham Diaz is now back at work, and its part of the community relations unit.

Constable’s cannot be relied on for they are never properly trained when they leave the Police Academy. Who’s fault is it? Well, i would say their Constable who is their Chief. How can you send your officer’s to the streets of Laredo without them being prepared. I’ve heard that many Deputies are afraid to talk on the County Radio because they are afraid. The program simply stayed in effect because of the hours that El Protector put in (many on his own time) and the good and positive reviews it brought in. The truth is that the only candidate that I’ve seen walking the streets of Laredo is Rodolfo Rudy Rodriguez. The only candidate that has patrol units at schools during school hour, helping the crossing guards because the lord knows that some idiots just fly by and Rodolfo Rudy Rodriguez is the only one rain or shine they are there. Last year during raining season I saw one of the deputies carry a little girl across a puddle of water at Sanchez Ochoa, “esto Nadie me lo Conto yo lo vi” I know that this type of caring comes from people that are responsible and that again transcends to Rodolfo Rudy Rodriguez. I dont have any small children but my neighbor does, they are a very needy family of 6 and this year as well as last the only gift that 2 of the children got was from Navidad en el Barrio, which again Mr. Rodolfo Rudy Rodriguez spearheads. I met Mr. Rodriguez at the Jamaica de San Francisco and I can tell you that he is. Very humble man. Ahi estaban todos asoleados pero ahi estaban todos! And for what I understand they do take care of all the Jamaicas. The only true way to judge. Person is to meet with him face to face. I guarantee you that if you meet with him you will understand what I’m saying. And about Abraham Diaz I’ve never heard his name until now or that of James Roycroft, I believe if you want someones vote you must be out there for the community when you are not running for office. (Laredo, Tx)-Webb County Commissioner Frank Sciaraffa’s son Trey Sciaraffa was arrested this week along with a group of friends after a small amount of marijuana was found in their possesion. Sciaraffa and the group are looking at a misdeanor charge for possession of marijuana in a drug free zone. Sciaraffa was arrested along with Alfonso Rivas Jr., Ricardo Juan Garcia, and Carlos Adrian Garcia.
The arrest took place on Wednesday night at a local park. Sciaraffa’s son and the others were later released on a $1,000 bond that was posted by each individual.

I support Diaz el protector for constable pct 1. He has introduced many programs in our community. One program is shattered dreams in the High Schools. He was the first to bring it to the theaters and where hundreds of our young adults attended. Diaz brought thousands of dollars worth of car seats at no cost to the taxpayers. Those are just two examples of programs he sponsored. Diaz is a long time resident of precinct 1. Diaz is a long time public servant and will continue to be as constable pct 1.

I am a Pct.1 Deputy Constable and i will remain anonymous. Due to the fact that i fear i may be retaliated against if i disclose my identity. All i can say to the people of laredo is this, i myself and several of my co-workers are tired of Constable Rudy Rodriguez. I wish you could see my face when i go to work everyday in that office along with my co-workers. We hate it!! The only reason we go to work is because we have familys and bills to pay. We are tired of being treated like animals! We are people and not dogs!! We are always disrespected by Rodriguez administration. What most of us Officers want in Precint.1 is that the voters please elect Abraham Diaz because we have talked to him and we believe he is a good man and will stand up for his officers in times of needs and not spend his time treating his employees like CRAP!!! For all u deputies that say that u all are mistreated by the constable and that ur not happy there any more its very simple why dont u all just quit aook for a job that would treat u like kings as for u aracelie u should stop complaining stop eating like a pig and do ur job take care of ur job because u know that nobody in law enforcement will give u a job. The first thing they r going to say how in the world did u make it thru the academy were the instructors asleep. Or did u give them something like at Cca thru the cell bars .as for u garcia since u nolonger r rudys pet like u use to be u would do whatever u wanted u would get to the office late nobody would tell u anything. You were always on the computer doing nothing but chatting u never took nothing down on the streets and when u took that weapon away from a guy . U mess up u put the gun in the evidence room and u never charge the guy or file a case against him with the da’s office.dont tell me u were later going to get a warrant for the guy. Dont know why Rudy’s people are getting scared and took down the Poll. If people want change they come together and act, we want you out…. wether its a fake poll or the real deal, Diaz will win. Its funny to hear both sides bickering at one another, and offensive things are said but at the end of the day I’d want professionalism and respect, and we have seen nothing but 110% of that from Mr. Diaz. Things will be said about the candidates past, but without the past there would be no present nor future… Diaz Excels in all of these areas and if you’re with the other guy you know this and you’re scared… this poll isn’t even close to real, so save you’re fear for election day.
The criminal justice system is made to be a beautiful thing, not perfect, but still close, yet Rudy’s “Leadership” is questioned in this area because of his deputies messing up under his watch. He stated on Pro8News and i quote, “I’am not here to babysit” technically he was right, because he is with children, but he is so totally wrong. Supervision is another type of babysitting, and that is one of his duties, to supervise those under him. Then we can cut appart his speaking skills, cause again in a Pro8News interview, he did not even make sense when he was arguing about his home. This man is far from professional and i can honestly say a 17 year old has more resect, gratitude, and common sense than this man.
