Lady Horns to Host Basketball Tournament

 (Laredo, Tx)-The Lady Horns invite you to their First Annual Basketball Tournament that will be held April 28th at the United High School Gym.  The tournament is open to all grade levels and every team is guaranteed at least three games.  Entry fee is only $150 per team.  Trophies will be given out to the top teams in their respective divisions.  Food will be provided for those competing and a sound system will provide music and entertainment.

University  Hosts Annual Trade Conference

On Thursday, April 12, Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) will host its Annual Trade Conference.
                      Professor Tagi Sagafi-nejad, Radcliffe-Killam Distinguished Professor, director, Center for the Study of Western Hemispheric Trade and organizer of the annual conference, said the  theme of Thursday’s Annual Trade Conference is “Common Problems, Contending Approaches.”

LAREDO LEMURS TO HOST SECOND OPEN TRYOUTS Set for Saturday, April 14th

 LAREDO, TX – The Laredo Lemurs professional baseball team will be hosting their second tryouts at TAMIU – Jorge Haynes Field on Saturday, April 14th. 
Players interested in participating must arrive no later than 9:00am to register for the tryouts. On-site registration will take place from 8:30 – 9:30 am with a one-time $50.00 per player fee (cash or check). Official tryouts to follow immediately at 10:00 am
Players making the team will be part of the Laredo Lemurs – who will start their inaugural season May 2012.

 LAREDO, TX – The Laredo Lemurs professional baseball team will be hosting a Job Fair to staff the new Uni-Trade Stadium when it opens on May 17th for their first professional baseball team.
 The Lemurs are looking for friendly, professional, and highly dedicated staff to help ensure every event at Uni-Trade Stadium is an exciting and memorable one.

TAMIU Sets Annual  ‘Celebration of Life’ Observance Today

Texas A&M International University will remember fallen alumni, students, faculty and staff at the second  “Celebration of Life” memorial observation Thursday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the TAMIU Center for the Fine and Performing Arts’ Recital Hall.
