Laredo, TX: Mayor Raul G. Salinas recently visited Rodolfo Centeno Elementary to talk to 5th grade students about the events that occurred on September 11th, 2001. The Mayor was in attendance at the invitation of Analine L. Johnson, School Librarian at Centeno Elementary, as part of a project that she, her staff and students are working on called “Remembering 9/11: Telling your story”. The project involves members of the community sharing their perspectives and experiences of the event.

AUSTIN, Tx- Today the Joint Oversight Committee on Higher Education Governance, Excellence and Transparency announced the agenda for its first public hearing, which will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 21, in Room E1.036 of the Texas Capitol.
