Loop 20 & McPherson Rd: Maintenance Work to Extend Turnaround Lane This Weekend

LAREDO – Effective Early Monday, August 29, 2011, Gilmar Construction Co. will continue working along Eastbound LP 20 approximately 1,000 feet prior to the intersection with McPherson Rd. The construction involves the extension of the auxiliary lane for the westbound turnaround. Periodic lane closures will be in effect for the inside through lane along Eastbound LP 20. Motorists should slow down, prepare to merge right to open lane, and drive with extreme caution, keeping a watchful eye for work crews. The traveling public should all observe all advance warning signs, road markings and channelization devices in and around the work area.
Traffic control for the execution of this work will begin at 2:00 am and conclude by 6:00 am Monday, August 29, 2011. Work will consist of placing pavement markings and installing curb. All work for this project is scheduled for completion by August 31.
