Mayor Recognizes Police Heroes

(Laredo, Tx)- City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas, on behalf of the Laredo City Council, recognized two very special police officers, officers who helped save the life of a young Laredo girl. “The citizens of Laredo are blessed to have police officers like Officer Gerardo Dimas and Officer Alberto Tijerina with the Laredo Police Department who are true angels, remaining calm and using their training and experience to render aid and serve the community in a most heroic fashion,” said Mayor Salinas. In the background, Assistant Chief Gabriel E. Martinez, Jr.; along with Mayor Salinas; Officer Tijerina, holding his son Emiliano; Officer Dimas; and City of Laredo City Manager Carlos Villarreal listen on as Chief of Police Carlos Maldonado commends these two officers for not only their passion and commitment to law enforcement and serving their fellow man, but for helping to ensure that there is a family who was touched by their divine intervention.
Chief Maldonado, Do away with the new Police Covers. I know your people aroud you want a change. Well you should first consider asking the officer how they feel. Leadership you take care of your officer are you really doing that.
