CITY DEPARTMENTS CLOSURE NOTICE

City of Laredo Administrative Offices will be closed on Friday December 31, 2010 in observance of New Year’s Eve.
Protective and emergency services will be operational.
Please be aware that there will be NO trash, recycling or lawn clippings collection service on Friday. Garbage and recycling collection schedule will resume on Monday, January 3, 2010 on regularly scheduled routes.
The City Landfill will be open from, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010. It will be closed on Saturday, January 1, 2011. It will re-open regular hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2011.
In observance of the New Year’s holiday, the Laredo Public Library and Bruni Plaza Branch will be closed from Friday, December 31, 2010 through Sunday, January 2, 2011. The Bruni Branch will also be closed on Monday, January 3, 2011.
The El Metro bus schedule and El Lift bus service for the holiday will be as follows:
Friday, December 31, 2010: Sunday Service; administrative offices open
Saturday, January 1, 2011: Sunday Service; administrative offices closed
The City of Laredo Municipal Court will also be closed on Friday. Individuals scheduled to appear in court that day have a minimum of 10 working days to make an appearance. Contact Municipal Court for more information at 794-1680.
City of Laredo administrative offices will re-open on Monday, January 3 2011, during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is on Monday, January 3, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
