  On October 22nd at approx 9:00 p.m., Peter Dominguez, age 21, reported to police that he was walking with his girlfriend by Ryan Elementary when he came across a known person.  Dominguez allegedly then began to have an argument with the man over a vehicle.  Suddenly the known subject called several of his friend to meet him by Ryan Elementary.  One black over gray Ford F-150 arrived at the scene within moments and several men got out of the truck and began to assault Dominguez.  During the assault the …

Rash of Car Window’s Shot Out with BB Gun Pellets Solved Two Arrested

          ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2010, A RASH OF CRIMINAL MISCHIEF CASES WAS REPORTED IN THE SOUTH LAREDO AREA.  THE SAME MOTIVE OF OPERATION WAS USED IN EACH CASE.   REPORTS MENTIONED THAT SEVERAL CAR WINDOWS WERE BROKEN BY SHOT BB GUN PELLETS. THERE WERE NO SUSPECTS IN ANY OF THE CASES.

Stolen Saxophone Means “The Blues” for Three Arrested for a String of Car Burglaries

  The Laredo PD Auto Theft division made 4 arrests of a crew of car burglars breaking into vehicles and taking valuables.  These particular burglaries involved two cars at Doctor’s Hospital and a car at Mall del Norte stolen from on different occasions. One burglary at the mall happened on October 06, 2010 when a person who went shopping got into her car to get all the way home only to notice that someone had broken into her car and had stolen her son’s saxophone.  The saxophone was sold …

Utility work for new Shirley Field will cause temporary street closure 
Sendero Industries, the contractor for the new L.I.S.D. Shirley Field Sports Complex, will temporarily close Santa Maria Avenue, between Poggenpohl Street and Shea Street, tomorrow, Thursday, October 21, 2010, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to install a sanitary sewer manhole.

CBP Officers, Border Patrol Agents at Laredo Port of Entry Seize Weapons During Outbound Inspection

 LAREDO, TEXAS – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers and Border Patrol agents at the Laredo Port of Entry on Tuesday seized 13 weapons, including three high-caliber rifles, 10 pistols, 1,369 rounds of ammunition and assorted gun magazines during an outbound examination.                                                        
The seizure occurred on Oct. 19, 2010 during an outbound (southbound) examination at Gateway to the Americas Bridge. A CBP officer referred a 1995 Isuzu Trooper driven by a 58-year-old Mexican citizen from Laredo for a secondary examination. During the examination, CBP officers and Border Patrol …
