LAREDO, TX- The Broncos jumped all over White Wings starter Jose Nieto, knocking him out of the game after only four innings and taking a 7-2 victory on the back of Matt Gibbs who allowed just two runs in 7.2 innings pitched.

Laredo, Texas – On Friday, July 23rd, 2010, at approximately 4:16 p.m., The Webb county Sheriff’s Office in joint efforts with Nuevo Laredo authorities, recovered a bulldozer that was reported stolen out of state in Chicago, Illinois. The stolen report was initiated by the Chicago Police Department on June 29, 2009. The stolen heavy equipment machinery was a 2005 model with a price value of $72,000. Second Federal Judge for Laredo Nominated by the President
Washington, DC – Yesterday, Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) released the following statement in response to President Obama’s nomination of Marina Garcia Marmolejo to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. If confirmed by the Senate, Marmolejo will serve as one of two federal judges for the U.S. District Court in Laredo, Texas. Seven Border Lawmakers Press Leadership for Emergency Funds
Washington, DC – Today, Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28), Chairman of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border, Maritime and Global Counterterrorism, joined six other southern border lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives to urge House Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Hoyer to introduce a stand-alone bill with at least $701 million in emergency federal funding for the nation’s southern border.

The Laredo Heat Soccer Club (9 – 5 – 2, 29 points) will open up the 2010 Southern Conference Championship Tournament in Jackson, MS on the campus of Millsaps College versus a familiar opponent in the Baton Rouge Capitals (9 – 2 – 3, 30 points).
