City of Laredo 4th of July Closure Notice

All City of Laredo administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 5, 2010 in observance of Independence Day. Protective and emergency services will be operational.

The City Landfill will also be closed on Saturday, July 3, 2010 but open on Monday, July 5.  There is no regular scheduled garbage or recycling pick-up on that day.   

In observance of Independence Day, the Laredo Public Library will be closed Saturday July 3 through Monday, July 5, 2010. The Bruni Plaza Branch will be closed Saturday, July 3 through Tuesday, July 7, 2010.

The City of Laredo Municipal Court will also be closed on July 5. Individuals scheduled to appear in court that day have a minimum of 10 working days to make an appearance. Contact Municipal Court for more information at 794-1680.

El Metro and El Lift bus service will run on a Sunday schedule.

City of Laredo administrative offices will re-open on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010.

    how much tax money would be saved if the city went to a four day work schedule? time to start trimming the fat and spend our money wisely.
