Laredo Heat Home Game Re-Scheduled

The United Soccer Leagues (USL) based in Tampa, FL, in conjunction with the West Texas United (Midland) Sockers and the Laredo Heat Soccer Club, has decided to re-schedule the soccer match set to played on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex to:
– Tuesday, July 6, 2010
Kick-off for the re-scheduled game on Tuesday, July 6th remains at 8:00 PM CST and the match will still be played at the Texas A&M International University Soccer Complex.
The decision to re-schedule the game between the West Texas United Sockers and the Laredo Heat Soccer Club was based on the expectation that Tropical Storm / Hurricane Alex would interfere in both the travel of the Midland based team to Laredo and the actual game on Thursday.
“The decision was fairly easy to make from all ends as the safety of our players, coaching staffs and fans is very important to all involved. Hopefully this storm will pass with little to no damage to South Texas and the regions, including our neighbors in Mexico and the Rio Grande Valley, expected to be in the path of the storm,” mentioned Heat General Manager J.J. Vela
