TXDoT Mines Road Overpass Ceremony

Texas Department of Transportation hosted a drive-thru ceremony for the Mines Road Overpass project, that will connect Mines Road-Del Mar-IH-35 over the Union Pacific railroad crossing, so that traffic will avoid getting “stuck” on either side of Mines Road by the train.  According to City of Laredo District VII Council Member Jose A. The City of Laredo Health Department is urging the public not to consume the following products from Campbell Soup Supply Co. and Marie Callendar’s.
Campbell “SpaghettiO’s”: The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) has received notification from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of a recall of approximately 15,000,000 pounds of “Spaghetti Os” with Meatballs processed and canned by the Campbell Soup Supply Co. due to possible under-processing.  These products were manufactured between December 2008 and June 2010 and distributed …

The Texas Commission on Jail Standards Awards 100% Compliance to Webb County Jail

Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Marijuana Bundle Along with 22 Marijuana Baggies Ready for Distribution

 Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On Thursday, June 17, 2010, at approximately 12 noon, Webb County Sheriff’s Office Crime Stoppers Division responded to a call regarding illegal activity at a Motel on the 2500 block of Saunders.  Upon arrival, Deputies discovered one bundle of marijuana along with 22 marijuana plastic baggies ready for distribution.  The marijuana had a weight of  14.3 pounds at an approximate street value of $7,099.  Arrested at the scene was Ruben Arce, 19, he was charged with possession of marijuana, felony 3.

Broncos give up seven runs in the fifth inning and fall to the Thunder 8-4

(June 18th)-ROBSTOWN, TX-The Broncos (9-14) fell to the Thunder (8-14) in game one of the series 8-4 after allowing seven runs in the fifth inning. LHP Brian Buchanan (2-1) made his fifth start of the season in Coastal Bend.  Buchanan, winner of his last two starts, looked to continue keeping the Broncos in the win column after they took two of three from San Angelo at home. On the opposing mound was RHP J.J Trujillo (1-2) for the Thunder, making his fifth start of the year.
