All City Pools and Splash Parks will open this weekend May 29 & 30 with the exception of Thomas Pool which is under maintenance, we will inform the public when it’s schedule to open. On Tuesday June 1st all pools will be open to the public during regular pool hours for more information call the Parks & Leisure Aquatics Division @ 794-1765. Adaptive Aquatics Program begins on Saturday June 5th.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, all Webb County administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 31, 2010.
The holiday closure includes the Webb County Tax Assessor Collector’s Office.
The Webb County Sheriff’s Department will continue all services on its regular schedule.
Webb County Offices will re-open at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010.
Webb County Commissioners will meet Monday, June 14, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. for their regularly scheduled meeting at the Webb County Courthouse located at 1000 Houston Street.

May 25th, LAREDO, TX – The Laredo Broncos had their second exhibition game of the 2010 on Monday night. This time squaring off against the Laredo Adult Baseball League at Veterans Field. In their first game action of 2010, The Broncos took the Tecolotes of the Mexican League to a 3-3 tie. Earlier this year, Catholic schools across the country celebrated Catholic Schools Week. One of the activities was participation in the national Catholic organization, Holy Cross Family Ministries’ annual art contest, open to all Catholic schools students from kindergarten to 12th grade. This year’s 1st Place winner for kindergarten students was once again a student from St. Peter’s Memorial School: 6-year old John Bondoc, III.

Students who are interested in attending summer classes at Laredo Independent School District are encouraged to enroll for classes. Students can enroll in classes for credit, promotion, or enrichment.
