Golden Apple Recipients at City Hall

City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas welcomed three outstanding U.I.S.D teachers to City Hall, congratulating them on their recent recognition. This year’s Golden Apple winner and runners-up received plaques from Mayor Salinas, highlighting their accomplishment. Ms. Elma Campos Almendarez, Nye Elementary teacher and Golden Apple Award 2nd Runner-Up; Ms. Rita Hedke, United High School teacher and Golden Apple Award winner; and Ms. Mary C. Martinez, K. Tarver Elementary School and Golden Apple Award 1st Runner-Up all joined Salinas in his office, as he offered them words of praise and encouragement.
