Important USDA Site Reopens After Six Week Closure
Washington, DC – Congressman Henry Cuellar (TX-28) today announced that the United States Department of Agriculture has reopened an Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) center that serves Pharr, Texas, after operations ceased over a period of six weeks due to border security concerns. LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League are proud to announce that they have helped donate the official delivery van to the South Texas Food Bank.
The van that the Bucks helped donate picks up bread from eight HEB Stores in Laredo and delivers it to the food bank every day to be distributed to those in need.

8 Online Child Predators Interdicted and Arrested in Sheriff’s Sting Operation

 Laredo—Today, Webb County Sheriff Martin Cuellar announced the arrest of 8 Laredo Men alleged online child sex predators arrested during the Sheriff’s recently launched Operation  Protecting “R”  Kids Online”.  The undercover operation was created by the Sheriff’s Office to protect Webb County children from predators while using the internet, this operation began October 2009.

LAREDO, TEXAS – U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agriculture specialists at the Laredo Port of Entry intercepted an invasive leaf worm in a commercial flower shipment at the start of Mother’s Day weekend.
 The interception occurred on May 7, 2010 at World Trade Bridge . CBP agriculture specialists were conducting a routine agricultural examination on a commercial shipment of flowers when they discovered a pest within 150 stems of Lisianthus flowers arriving from Mexico .
