LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League will hold a year-end jersey auction starting Monday April 26th on http://www.facebook.com/l/1245f;www.ebay.com.
The Bucks will auction off official 2009-10 autographed game-worn player jerseys starting at 10am central time on April 26th and will end at 10am on May 3rd.

Martin High School JROTC Tiger Battalion donated $1,000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Pennies for Patients Campaign. From March 23, to April 9, the Tiger Battalion, in its fight to help find a cure for cancer, collected spare change in honor of local student survivors and current patients.

Laredo, TX – – The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) is commemorating National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW) which runs from April 24 through May 1, 2010 with a proclamation this Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at 8:20 a.m. It will be held at Embassy Suites Hotel located at 110 Calle Del Norte. In honor of this event the CLHD immunization program is making this a festive event offering pictures of children who get immunized as well balloons and other door prizes will be provided.

AUSTIN—Motorists across Texas will see a new safety message this Friday on highway signs around the state—a message that encourages citizens to pay attention and eliminate distractions while driving.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will use statewide signs to encourage drivers to give up texting or talking on cell phones while driving. Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) across Texas will read, “Make Your Vehicle a No Phone Zone,” or “Drive Now. Text or Talk Later.”

Early Monday morning at approximately 12:00 a.m. a search warrant was executed at the Phoenix Amusement Center located on 4502 San Bernardo Ave. Two subjects, Guadalupe Rios and Luis Eduardo Magana were arrested for Gambling Promotion C/A Misdemeanors and were transported to Webb County Jail. A total of 137 eight-liner motherboards and approximately $17,900 in US currency was seized. The investigation continues and further arrests are pending.
