Identity of Homeless Man Murdered in Bruni Plaza Revealed

The family of the murdered man found in Bruni Plaza back in February of 2010 has been located and notified by Laredo Police Homicide Detectives. The victim of murder #2 of 2010 has been identified as Allen J. Masek, age 62, originally of Cleveland, Ohio. The Laredo Police released a composite sketch of a person of interest in this homicide (see attached old release and sketch picture). The Laredo Police need help with any information regarding the Masek murder case. All calls will remain anonymous. If anyone knows a person matching the composite sketch picture or can assist with any information they are asked to call the Laredo Police Department at 795-2800.
* Masek’s picture is from a July 2006 mug shot. He was arrested for aggravated assault for an incident that took place downtown on Farragut near the Metro Station. He’s been arrested for other crimes in the past such as shoplifting. He’s also been a victim of a reported assault back in August of 2001.
