Freer Road Rehab Work

Weather permitting, Bay Limited Construction Company will begin road reconstruction of the US Highway 59 (Lloyd Bentsen Hwy)-State Highway 16 (South Norton Ave.) intersection in Freer with project limits from State Highway 16 to one-half (0.510) mile east of State Highway 16.
US 59 east- and westbound traffic approaching the intersection will merge to one lane in each direction, and one-way traffic control will be in effect for SH 16 north- and southbound traffic approaching the intersection. This traffic pattern is expected to continue for approximately five months, weather permitting.
The $1.1 million project will reconstruct the said intersection by replacing existing pavement, and curb and gutter. The traveling public is asked to drive with extreme caution and observe all traffic safety signs and road markings in and around the work area.
Construction work begins Monday, April 5, 2010. Traffic barricades placed March 29, 2010.
