Bomb Squad Certification

Bomb Squad & CouncilThe Laredo City Council along with local F.B.I. Agent in Charge Michael Wise, recognized the Laredo Police Department’s Bomb Squad.  The squad was recently awarded with Federal certification as a Bomb Squad (renewed certification).  They are officially listed as a federal resource for response in any national emergency by the U.S. Government.   The bomb squad and LPD Administration were recognized by the local F.B.I. Special Agent in charge and the Laredo City Council at tonight’s city council meeting.   The Squad is comprised of 4 officers, Sgt. Jorge Luna, Investigator Martin Guerra, Officer Marco Rodriguez, and Investigator Gerardo Morales.

    i work for fier department zapata tx we dont have abomb squad whos job is it to look for a bomb if we were called and what is the first step. thanks
