Lane Closures for FM 1472 SB Direct Connector and IH-35

LAREDO – On-going construction of the FM 1472 overpass (north and south direct connectors) at IH 35 project will require lane closures and detours on January 14, 2010, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m., weather permitting:
● Complete closure of SB FM 1472 Direct Connector and IH -35/Mann Rd. Exit 3B to erect overhead signs. Traffic will be detoured to Santa Maria Ave. to Del Mar Blvd. and IH 35 SB entry ramp. Additionally, a one lane (outer) will also be closed along NB IH-35 prior to the Del Mar Blvd. overpass.
● Northbound IH-35 traffic will asked to exercise caution upon approach to the Del Mar Blvd. overpass due to the one lane closure. Traffic should be prepared to merge to one northbound lane under the northbound direct connector currently under construction.
The traveling public should slow down, drive with extreme caution, and observe all safety signs, traffic control devices and flaggers in the work zone area.
